Autumn Festival 2025: Bringing the Community Together in Furano
The recent Autumn Festival in Furano was a resounding success, drawing 140 attendees, including many volunteers and families from the neighbourhood. The event was filled with laughter, shared meals, and the comforting spirit of togetherness that defines our community.
Thanks to the generous contribution from Furapera and Giveinstead.sg supporters, including the donation of freshly grilled yakitori and takoyaki, the food corner quickly became the heart of the celebration. The dishes were so well-loved that even a group of middle-school track-and-field students who arrived just before closing eagerly finished the remaining trays, delighting everyone with their energy and appetite.
Beyond the food, what stood out most was the sense of joy and connection. Seeing residents, volunteers, and children enjoying each other’s company reminded everyone why events like this matter they create a space where people can meet, share stories, and strengthen community bonds.
We’re deeply grateful to all who helped make the Autumn Festival possible from donors and volunteers to the dedicated team at NPO Miraito and Food Bank Furano. Your kindness continues to make a difference in the lives of many.
