Joanna’s Birthday Fundraiser for Care Corner Seniors: Warming Hearts and Tummies

Lively chatter and laughter filled the room as Joanna and her friends conversed with seniors as they gathered at Care Corner Seniors Active Ageing Centre for a meal together. 

For Joanna’s birthday this year, GiveInstead.sg organised a fundraiser which raised $2,020, providing communal meals to seniors at the Centre over four weeks. These dining experiences are eagerly anticipated by the seniors, many of whom live alone, are often socially isolated, and lack a sense of belonging. 

This initiative provides them with opportunities to leave their homes and meet friends old and new; providing nourishment for their physical, emotional and mental well-being. Communal activities like these help them build community and give them the comfort of knowing that there are people who care and will look out for them. GiveInstead.sg would like to say a huge thank you to Joanna and her family and friends for warming the seniors’ hearts and tummies. Your immense kindness and generosity have created ripples of happiness and goodwill; and made a big and lasting impact on the lives of these seniors. Thank you so much.
