For his birthday fundraiser, he is raising funds to give children from SHINE’s STAR Programme the chance to attend violin and dance lessons, helping them discover their talents and build confidence through the arts—opportunities they wouldn’t have otherwise. After completing the lessons, the children will be performing at “Nothing Is ImPOSSIBLE - The Musical” at SIA Theatre@Laselle on 2nd November. The STAR Programme provides seven years of mentorship for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty. This fundraiser aims to raise funds for St John’s Home for Elderly Persons, a sanctuary dedicated to providing care and support for elderly individuals. By donating, you will not only allow these elders a chance to enjoy beautiful music but also play a crucial role in providing them with experiences they'll never forget. Many of these elders have no family or resources to care for them. Your presence and support can help us continue our mission of compassion and dignity for the elderly in our community. Since 1958, St. John's Home has provided shelter and care for elderly individuals over 60, regardless of race or creed. Enjoy an evening of music while making a difference! Please click HERE for the post event write up. ———- As Shoken celebrates his 15th Birthday, he would like to take the opportunity to bring some joy and warmth to the residents of THK Home for the Disabled@Eunos by hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration for them. These residents live within the confines of the Home, away from their families; and often have little or no contact with them. Through this event, he hopes to bring them the joy of connection with other residents, just like one would at a family gathering; and create a memorable festive experience for them. Donations will go toward funding delicious mooncakes, meals and festive activities for the residents. Any amount of donation is both welcomed and appreciated! With just $5, you can provide a warm meal to a senior in need. Her fundraising target of $2,000 will provide 400 nutritious hot meals for the lonely and vulnerable seniors served by the 20 Care Corner Seniors Services Centres located in Toa Payoh and Woodlands. These seniors either live alone or their families are unable to look after them during the day. Join Joanna in spreading kindness and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most! *Every dollar of your generous donation will be matched 1:1 by Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), and donations above $10 will qualify for 250% tax-deductions.

These Day Care Centres provide a place of comfort and care for seniors who either live by themselves or whose families are unable to adequately care for them during the day. Your donation will go to providing warm meals and supporting social and recreational programmes that will help support their physical, emotional and mental health and well-being, allowing them to age with grace and dignity.
