A Christmas to Remember at Lions Befrienders Clementi

The festive spirit was truly alive at Lions Befrienders Clementi Active Ageing Centre, where 150 seniors from three different centres in Clementi came together for a joyful Christmas Celebration. The event was filled with laughter, music, and camaraderie—all perfect ingredients for ushering in the holiday cheer!

From the start, the celebrations sparkled with a wide range of activities. A lucky draw had everyone on the edge of their seats, eager to see who would take home the top prizes. The seniors swayed and clapped along as Christmas carolers brightened the atmosphere, followed by an energetic Christmas dance and a lively Bollywood performance that drew loud applause. Many enthusiastic participants joined in fun-filled games, and a sumptuous buffet lunch kept everyone refreshed and satisfied. To capture the day’s wonderful memories, a photo booth provided endless opportunities for smiles and snapshots.

Adding to the festive spirit, the event was graced by Member of Parliament for Jurong GRC (Clementi), Dr. Tan Wu Meng, District Governor for Lions Club Singapore, Shirley Lee as Guest of Honor, and Lions Befrienders Chairman Alex Lim as a Special Guest. They shared words of encouragement and gratitude, praising the seniors for their vibrant energy and applauding the dedicated staff for creating a nurturing environment. Dr Tan recognised the seniors as the pioneer generation instrumental to Singapore’s success and encouraged them to impart their wisdom and experience to the younger generation. The seniors were treated to delightful goodies and cupcakes, and their constant singing and clapping said it all—they were clearly in high spirits!

We at Giveinstead.sg are dedicated to uplifting communities and are truly honored to have played a part in this heartwarming celebration. Events like these are a testament to the power of togetherness and generosity—reminders of what the holiday season is all about.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to Director of Lions Befrienders, Steffi Caroline, whose tireless efforts helped make this celebration a resounding success. Here’s to many more gatherings where we can continue to spread joy, hope, and kindness in our community!
