Shaw-NKF-NUH Children’s Kidney Centre Movie Screening
51 patients and their familes from Shaw-NKF-NUH Children’s Kidney Centre gathered at Shaw Lido on Sunday 10th March for a movie screening of Kung Fu Panda 4, generously sponsored by Mr Low. After registering, they received an activity pack and settled down into their seats for the highly anticipated sequel of Kung Fu Panda. Before the action-packed movie began, we warmed the audience up with a game of Simon Says.
Everyone had a blast and was beaming from ear to ear as they left the theatre! Due to their gruelling treatment schedules and health restrictions, these young patients miss out on many fun activities youths of the same age usually enjoy, and their family members spend a tremendous amount of time, effort, and resources caring for them. We hope this event was a great bonding experience for the families and something that they can look back and reminisce on in years to come.
This wonderful event was made possible by our kind sponsor, Mr Low, who had asked his friends to donate to this cause instead of giving him birthday gifts for his 51st birthday celebration. We would also like to express our gratitude to volunteers from Lions Club of Singapore Central, Shaw-NKF-NUH Children’s Kidney Centre, and Giveinstead.sg. Thank you so much!
