Support Care Corner’s Learning & Special Needs (LSN) programme
Care Corner’s Learning & Special Needs (LSN) programme supports children aged 5 to 13 with developmental and learning difficulties such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and dyslexia. Through specialised educational therapy, we help them learn better and achieve positive academic, behavioural, and social outcomes.
Why Your Donation Matters:
Early intervention is key—without it, these challenges can widen learning gaps, affect long-term development, and limit future opportunities.
Many of the children we serve come from low-income families who cannot afford the cost of such therapy. Your donation ensures that these children receive the critical support they need to thrive. By funding their access to specialised care, you’re not just changing a child’s life—you’re empowering families and helping to break the cycle of disadvantage.
Here’s Gina, Joel and Nicole’s story:
Siblings Gina (10), Joel (11), and Nicole (12)* are service users of Care Corner’s LSN programme in Toa Payoh. Referred to Care Corner by KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 2018, they were enrolled in LSN’s KidsLearn English and Mathematics programmes, which use multisensory teaching methods to help children learn.
When their father passed away in 2016, their mother Annie, a part-time security guard, struggled to make ends meet and provide for her large family. The children have 9 other siblings. With many mouths to feed, the financial burden on Annie was tremendous. Unable to afford the 3 siblings’ LSN lessons – even at the lowest tier, Care Corner extended a helping hand to subsidise the fees for her children’s LSN lessons.
After 4 years of receiving LSN intervention, Annie noticed great improvement in Gina, Joel and Nicole – not just in their schoolwork but also their behaviours and attitudes towards learning. Before entering LSN, Gina and Joel used to be loud, boisterous and unresponsive to their teachers. They once found it challenging to remain seated for long tabletop activities, but are now able to listen and follow instructions and show greater interest in learning and speech improvements.
Donate to this campaign today and support Care Corner’s journey in helping many other caregivers like Annie through providing highly-subsidised and specialised learning support intervention for children with developmental delays. Help us uplift the lives of these families today.
