We are raising funds to organise a Chinese New Year celebration to create wonderful experiences for intellectually disabled residents, aged 6 to 65, at the THK Home for Disabled@Eunos. They will enjoy delicious food, arts and crafts, singing and dancing sessions, games, entertainment and goodie bags at the celebration.

Transform the custom of gifting red envelopes (‘hongbao’) into a charitable act, spreading hope, kindness and festive warmth to these residents. Contribute to an event filled with cultural festivities, delicious food, and laughter. Extending beyond the event, your support nurtures connections and shares the true essence of Chinese New Year; the act of giving.

Chinese New Year is usually a happy time spent with family and loved ones, enjoying meals and festivities and exchanging hongbaos. However, this may not be the case for some. Many of these residents live at the Home from a young age, away from their families, and their loneliness often falls through the cracks and goes unnoticed. They have limited social interactions and often miss out on many wonderful experiences. Giveinstead.sg aims to change that.
