Julia’s Birthday Fundraiser for Gateway Arts: Supporting Children & Youth Through the Arts

Dear loved ones,

I’m turning 42 this year, and according to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, 42 is “the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.”

I can’t say I’ve found that answer just yet, but perhaps part of our purpose is simply to help others along the way.

Over the years, I’ve found great meaning in volunteering with children and supporting Singapore’s local arts community. The arts have an incredible ability to bring people together, nurture confidence, inspire hope, and create opportunities for people to discover their potential.

This birthday, instead of gifts, I would love to invite you to join me in supporting Gateway Arts. Gateway Arts is a theatre company for young people that creates thought-provoking productions exploring social issues affecting children and youth. Beyond the stage, they nurture emerging artists, cultivate new audiences, and provide meaningful arts programmes for underserved communities, using theatre as a catalyst for conversation, empathy, and positive change.
