Once a month, something beautiful happens in Furano. A room fills with warmth, not just from the food but from the kindness shared around the table. Parents juggling multiple jobs. Seniors living alone. Children from struggling households. All welcomed with dignity to a nourishing hot meal, no questions asked.
This is the heart of the Shokudo Program run by Food Bank Furano. Each month, nearly 50 guests come together to enjoy a freshly prepared meal and a sense of belonging.
Meals are prepare by volunteer staff most of them are local students.
But it isn’t possible without support.
Every meal requires ingredients, kitchen essentials, and the effort to bring people together. It takes generosity to keep this space alive.
