Shoken Tsurumaru Featured in Hokkaido Newspaper for Supporting Furano Food Bank

We’re delighted to share that Shoken Tsurumaru, founder of Giveinstead.sg, was featured in Hokkaido Shimbun (August 9, 2025 edition) for his efforts to support families and small businesses in Furano, Hokkaido.

The article highlights his work through FURAPERA, a sister initiative to Giveinstead.sg, which provides food aid, business support, and youth programs for underserved communities in rural Japan. While Giveinstead.sg helps people in Singapore turn celebrations into charitable giving, it also supports FURAPERA’s fundraising and outreach.

This recognition affirms our belief that even small acts of solidarity can cross borders and create lasting impact.
